EDESSB submissions and permitting support
We help align the design documentation and its electronic submission with the project’s current delivery stage.
Discuss your brief ↗Our approach
Before working with EDESSB, we check the building information, documentation scope and current state of the design materials. We identify the designer’s responsibilities and the information required from the client and other participants.
We submit design documentation to EDESSB within the agreed brief, assemble materials and address design-related clarifications. Procedures are defined for each project. Decisions by authorised bodies are separate from documentation preparation and support services.
Scope of work
- Review of the current stage and document completeness
- Preparation and submission of design materials to EDESSB
- Checking consistency of project information
- Support with clarifications within the designer’s remit
Deliverable: The prepared design-related portion of the electronic submission and support for the agreed actions.
Getting started
- Project information and the client’s existing documents
- Design documentation and current electronic records
- Delivery stage and a description of the issue to resolve
Send us the materials you have. After an initial review, we will identify what needs clarification and agree the scope and sequence of work.

Fees and timescales
We prepare a proposal for your specific brief. The scope depends on the building’s area and complexity, the design stage, the number of disciplines, the information available and the support required.
For an estimate, send us the building type, location, approximate area and available materials. We agree deliverables, timescales and fees before work begins.
How design fees are calculated ↗Client questions
Can we commission only submission to EDESSB?
Yes, after checking the materials and defining our involvement. For an estimate, we need project information, the documentation and details of its designers.
Does submitting documents guarantee a permit?
Submission is one stage of the procedure. The authorised body makes the decision; we are responsible for the agreed preparation and support of the design-related part.
