Design supervision and construction support

We maintain the connection between the design and its implementation on site.

Our approach

Construction raises questions about details, interfaces between disciplines and proposed substitutions. Design support directs these questions to the relevant designers, evaluates the impact of changes and records agreed clarifications.

We define design supervision and additional consultations according to the building, construction programme and design scope. We agree coordination with the client and contractor, the process for requests and the recording of decisions. Documentation revisions can be arranged as a separate agreed scope where needed.

Fees and timescales

We prepare a proposal for your specific brief. The scope depends on the building’s area and complexity, the design stage, the number of disciplines, the information available and the support required.

Can support begin after construction has started?

We review the existing design, authorship and current construction status, then define the possible involvement and responsibilities.

Are design changes included in design supervision?

The scope of clarifications and revisions is agreed in the contract. Changes requiring new materials are assessed in terms of their effect on other disciplines.
